This session followed on from the successful Web workshop that SAE Liverpool hosted with the Isle of Man school earlier in June.
In the most recent film masterclass, media students from Ballakermeen High School were joined by expert Film lecturers Jake Astbury and Honey PERFECT MARKETING SOLUTION Crespo, as well as the course Programme Coordinator, Carl Copeland. Each of the lecturers talked about their own routes into the Digital Marketing Solution film industry, and they showcased some examples of SAE student work while also highlighting the different roles available to film industry graduates.
The school’s Head of Media Studies Sophie Riley said: “Media students at Ballakermeen were very excited to work with SAE who hosted Online Marketing Solution an engaging Film workshop. The three film lecturers, Carl, Jake, and Honey shared their diverse experiences, capturing the students’ interests with their expert knowledge and skills gained from the industry. Not only did their discussions provide an insight into the profession of being a filmmaker, but also inspired students to begin writing their own scripts, researching camera equipment, and Linkedin Marketing Solution making their own films. We are all thankful for the opportunity and we look forward to working with Graham and the SAE team in the future.”
SAE Liverpool’s Film Programme Coordinator Carl Copeland said: “The session went really well. The Zoom workshop was an insight into professional practice within Dynamic Website Advantages the industry. This was covered predominantly by Jake Astbury who reflected on his progression into the industry and he provided some examples of his work. I covered the various stages of film production and used student examples to highlight good practice. We also discussed the varied roles within a production.”
One of the students who attended the workshop said: “Listening to the different experts was really inspiring. I thought the workshop was put together well. I liked that their individual stories highlighted how the film industry works, especially depending on Instagram Marketing Packages on what you’re creating. Even though I knew a little bit about cameras and technology, their stories showed how much things change and crew members have to adapt. Seeing pieces of work done by SAE students also made it easier to see the stages of making a film which helped me to really understand the process Dynamic Website Packages of being a filmmaker.”
